Fitness for Healthspan, Not Just Lifespan

Stay capable, not just alive.

Longevity training is not a single exercise or biohack. It is a practical program for maintaining the physical qualities that support an active life: strength to handle daily demands, aerobic fitness for work capacity, power and balance for confident movement, and mobility to keep using the range you have.

Your plan should reflect your current ability, training history, schedule and goals. Some clients want to keep surfing, skiing or playing tennis. Others want more energy, stronger bones and muscles, or the confidence to return to exercise after years away.

The Five Priorities of Longevity Fitness

Five qualities, trained together.

Strength
Build and keep muscle

Develop force, muscle and confidence with progressive resistance training.

Aerobic
Aerobic capacity

Build an endurance base and preserve the ability to handle higher-intensity effort.

Power
Move with speed

Train the ability to produce force quickly with age-appropriate exercises and progressions.

Balance
Balance and mobility

Improve movement options, stability and confidence for daily life and recreation.

Recovery
Recovery and consistency

Create a workload you can sustain instead of alternating between inactivity and overtraining.

A Plan Built Around Your Baseline

Start where you are.

  1. Discuss your goals, training history, schedule and relevant limitations.
  2. Complete a practical fitness and movement assessment.
  3. Add DXA, VO2 max or RMR testing when the measurements will improve decisions.
  4. Build a progressive plan that balances strength, aerobic work, mobility and recovery.
  5. Reassess the variables that matter and adjust the program as your capacity improves.
Measure what matters

Testing is optional, but it can sharpen the plan. A DXA scan can establish a body-composition and lean-mass baseline, VO2 max testing can measure aerobic fitness, and RMR testing can inform nutrition. The goal is not to collect numbers for their own sake; it is to use the right measurements to guide action.

Who Longevity Training Is For

Coaching for a longer, stronger life.

Longevity fitness can be delivered through one-on-one coaching, limited-size small groups or a combination of coaching and independent training. Your coach adjusts exercise selection, volume and progression to build capability without losing sight of recovery and real-life constraints.

Frequently Asked Questions

Longevity fitness, answered.

Is longevity fitness only for seniors?
No. Adults often begin in their 40s or 50s because maintaining strength and aerobic capacity is easier than rebuilding them after a long decline.
Do I need to be fit before I start?
No. The program begins from your current ability and progresses at an appropriate pace.
Is this the same as physical therapy?
No. Longevity fitness is coaching and exercise, not medical rehabilitation. Clients with an injury or medical condition may need clearance or coordination with an appropriate clinician.
What types of training are included?
Programs can include progressive strength work, aerobic conditioning, intervals, power, balance, mobility and recovery. The mix depends on the individual.
Do I need DXA or VO2 testing?
No. Testing is optional. It is recommended when the result will meaningfully change the plan or provide a useful baseline.
